The effect of parts of the painting being misaligned is the result of an experimental attempt to see whether or not there is a mismatch in memories when tracing things remembered in the past or experiences shared with others, or whether a game of telephone can end up being conveyed in completely different words, or whether or not we sometimes think something is normal when we first see or hear it, even if it is not correctly formed."
