Taani Sethi is an artist based in New Delhi. Her work explores themes of body consciousness, sexuality, political debate, and the reality of the ongoing destruction of nature. In this exhibition, she explores a new relationship with nature, reflecting the Asian philosophy that all living things and plants are essentially equal, encouraging a departure from anthropocentrism and pointing to the infinite possibilities of the body, and ultimately a path to coexistence with nature.

Artist Profile
Based in New Delhi, she explores body awareness and sexuality through her work inspired by folk tales and myths. Using a variety of media including painting, drawing and sculpture, she paints a utopia with themes of bodily freedom and sexual liberation. Deeply rooted in Indian art history, she draws inspiration from Kalighat paintings and miniature paintings to express a world that transcends stereotypes of gender and beauty. Her work has been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest India and has been highly acclaimed for participating in exhibitions such as the Mumbai Urban Arts Festival.
