作品説明

ORGM Series

The ORGM series is a work born from IWAZAKI's unique technique. The artist folds paper with free and flowing curves, which are his characteristic, and then faithfully transfers the pattern onto a wooden panel, sublimating it into an original three-dimensional work. Each piece has a unique shape, not only because he is fascinated by the law of nature that no two forms are exactly the same, but also because IWAZAKI's own philosophy of "walking one's own path without being bound by preconceived notions" is reflected in the works. The works are also reminiscent of traditional Japanese ink painting and the teachings of Zen, and the purity of the monochrome reflects the depths of the inner self. This exhibition is a culmination of the techniques IWAZAKI has honed so far, and will present a new trinity of deformed panels that challenge him to even greater heights. This embodies the Zen philosophy of "harmony despite imbalance." The contrast between the meticulous depiction and the texture of the powerful brushwork emphasizes the presence of the work, encouraging introspection and dialogue in the viewer.

アーティスト

TAKERU IWAZAKI

An artist based in Shizuoka. He began his work influenced by street culture and experimental abstract hip hop. Inspired by natural phenomena such as the flow of water and the appearance of trees, he focuses on the theme of "FLOW," which gives the viewer a sense of immersion, and collects the energy emitted by all things into flowing lines. His drawings are characterized by intricately expanding lines that resonate with each other as if in a session, with black as the base color. He has presented his work across a wide range of media, including solo exhibitions, murals, live painting, and collaborations with DJs and fashion brands.
