EXTRACT Series
This series also visualizes IWAZAKI's respect for freedom. Rather than the usual rectangular shape, the panels are uniquely shaped and each one can be hung on the wall at any angle.
Although the same drawing silkscreen plate was used, each piece was printed on a different panel, making them unique. At the same time, because they were all born from the same plate, they exist as individuals, while still being connected to each other.
The series also raises fundamental questions about what originality is and how a work of art can contain individuality and unity.
アーティスト

Takeru Iwazaki
An artist based in Shizuoka. He began his work influenced by street culture and experimental abstract hip hop. Inspired by natural phenomena such as the flow of water and the appearance of trees, he focuses on the theme of "FLOW," which gives the viewer a sense of immersion, and collects the energy emitted by all things into flowing lines. His drawings are characterized by intricately expanding lines that resonate with each other as if in a session, with black as the base color. He has presented his work across a wide range of media, including solo exhibitions, murals, live painting, and collaborations with DJs and fashion brands.
